Draft for legal review, 27 Sep 2026. Not yet in force.

How we rank

Most apps won’t tell you how they decide who you see, usually because the answer includes “who pays”. Ours doesn’t, so here are the rules, in full.

Meet: who appears in your feed

Your feed is a short list of people whose free nights overlap with yours, in the neighbourhoods you chose. Who appears, and in what order, depends on:

SignalWhat it means
Plan overlapYour posted nights, neighbourhoods and the kind of plan you’re open to match theirs
Your preferencesThe mix of solos and couples you asked to see, which we honour even when the wider pool looks different
Reply ratePeople who answer intros, yes or no, rank higher than people who leave them hanging
Show-up ratePeople who turn up to dates they confirm rank higher
Private post-date ratingsAfter a date, both people rate it privately. Nobody sees individual ratings
Verification levelA verified ID or background-check badge lifts you slightly, because people value it

What never affects ranking

  • Money. Paying for anything on Pexii never moves you up anyone’s feed.
  • Looks. We don’t score attractiveness, and we don’t rank faces.
  • How recently you joined, beyond making sure new members get seen fairly at the start.

Intros can’t be bought

Everyone gets the same small number of intros each week, and a couple shares one allowance rather than getting one each. You can’t buy more. A limited intro means something; one you can buy more of doesn’t.

Create: the creator For You feed

For creators finding collaborators, the feed weighs real audience overlap, the collaborations each of you is looking for, and what you’ve saved and pitched before. Every card says why you’re seeing it.

Some creators pay for featured placement. Featured cards are always labelled “Promoted”, and they never replace the ranking above; they sit alongside it.

Events

Events are listed by date and distance. Featured events are labelled “Promoted”, in the same way.

Changes

When we change these rules, we’ll update this page and say what changed and when.
